An early start, jen, steve and myself left alice springs at 6am ready for the 500km drive through the outback. It is a lot greener than i thought but there has just been a load of rain. Now very hot, 42 degrees or so and it is a dry heat. We got speaking to a really nice 'real life aussie' on the trip who told us about the aboriginal history and life in the outback. The tourgroup was different as there were only 3 british, normally we dominate but here we were taken over by germans!
