Awesome! Hi Lynne and Chris. It looks like a fabulous place and you look right at home in your photos! Have you bought any pearls? Thanks for the postcard, the colours are stunning. Great to see you doing the Bayley's Beach thing with your traveling friends and good to hear you are getting lots of swimming in. Mum still asks how you are getting on and I take the postcards up to show her. Have a swim for us. I like your red shirt Chris! Lots of love XX
Dear Lynn and Chris your photos of the Bungle Bungles are great and well worth seeing. Haven't been up north for a couple of weeks what with grandchildrens birthdays and have just been today to Clarrie Mills' funeral. She was 89 years but had completely lost her memory with Alheimzer and had gone blind at the end so it was a blessing she has passed away. Went to the funeral and caught up with all the the Mills family which was good. Peter didn't come (surprise surpise) his excuse was he could get his passport renewed in time so Lou particularly was a bit upset as she was hoping to show him his grandchildren but it was not to be. The weather here as you have probably heard has been ghastly so I would stay right where you are for the time being and be warm. Enjoy Broom it is quite up market and growing like mad when were were there.
Love Penny
Hi Guy's we are slightly ahead of you, at present at Marble Bar, don't miss Barn hill Station, will send you a facebook link so you can see some photo's. Travel safe Kurt @ Chris
another beaut report...we look foward to these! Re Perth November - we have not yet decided to come before the wedding or stay after - we want to go down south to Margaret River, Albany etc for a few days, but some of the relations over there are trying to organise a couple of family get-togethers. No dates yet for any of that. We missed you at mid-winter Bayleys -weather was marginal and stormy at times ...Kaitaia had a tornado - came in across 90 mile beach and damaged several houses.
love ...Rick and Sue

darwin Glad to know you have had a good time in Darwin and I recognise some of the places you went swimming in the photos. Trent and Tracey very kindly had Flo for the weekend when we went to Dunedin. Lou and Simon are finally in their new house in Kohi and seem to be enjoying it. We are up North this weekend but the weather forecast is not good. Have put a lot of drains in the section and it seems to be working thank goodness. School holidays coming up so as you can imagine the next few weekends are fully book with the holidays and birthdays. Hope you arrive safely at your next destination.

Thanks Hi Lynne, you don't know me but I was given your link by Bro-in-law Tony. I really enjoy your blog, both words and pics. Just wanted to let you know I share these with Aussies in the Czech Republic, Germany and London. Best of all is sharing your blog with my mother-in-law, who with 'dad' spent the 80's and 90's going around Oz with a F100 and 17ft Viscount! Thanks for the pleasure you give us all.
Hi from Batchelor Arrived this morning at Batchelor for 3 nights. Lovely park, we will do the Litchfield NP etc, then go back to Darwin to Howard Springs for 5 nights. After that we will go to Kakadu and back down to Katherine, we think!! Computer coverage was terrible at Darwin, couldn't connect to net, good to be back in contact again. Hope we catch up, but you may be ahead of us. Enjoy your travels, Cheers Lynne and Chris
Haven't seen a cloud in weeks!! Hi all
Arrived in Darwin today, took quite a few tries to get on net. We had to run the air conditioner, over 30 degrees. Still 28 at 7.40pm! We did a drive around the town today, saw a NZ frigate in the harbour, and explored around the marina. Will do more of the town tomorrow. Hope the mother ship is as great as we expect!! Cheers lynne and chris
Happy travellers! Living the dream! Just awesome to see you doing exactly what you had planned. We all wish we had some of your sunshine over here-it is wet, wet, wet and freezing cold. Jill and Phil have now returned to the sunshine coast. Your postcard arrived thanks but it got drowned! Hope swine flu not up your way, we have plans in place in case the school has to close. We saw in the Herald today that some camper's labrador got taken by a croc in NW Oz at Meda Crossing near Derby. Take care!! Looking forward to Bayleys. XX

Sounds like a full couple of days. Hope you enjoy Darwin when you finally get there. We had a lovely time there and enjoyed it immensely. One thing we did was go to was Arnham Land (not sure whether that is the way to spell it) it is a huge land area (around the size of Wales) which has been given over to the aboriginal people and we went for a 2 - 3 day tour camping over night and taken into Arnham Land which is only done by the Aboriginal tour company. Maybe you will have time for something like that. We found it very interesting and very well done.
I am at Oak River Drive babysitting with Louise for this week, with a weekend break while she goes back and stays at the apartment in Herne Bay and then back up to Oak River on the Monday and finally goes back to Auckland on the Friday to take possession of their house - Hooorah !!!! As you can imagine the place is a tip and we also have Sonya, Nestor and Solomon coming for Saturday night. When it is all finally over I think I might leave the country again. Sydney is looking good. Andrew still hopeless and not working, on the dole moves from accommodation to accomodation. stealing, lying etc. We are just waiting for him to reach rock bottom whenever that will be and then hopefully he will agree to rehab - but its a long shot I don't hold out too much hope.
Enjoy the Northern Territory. Are you continuing over to the West Coast - Broom, etc.
Lots of love

Hi from the Far North Graet to receive another update of your trip. You are covering areas that i would hpe to visit some time. You must have dodged the wet weather that has been around Queenslands Eastern area. Keep up the news which i am sure is much appreciated by all. Love your photos of the frogs. I can imagine the reaction of some others of our group coming acros them in the middle of the night. Take care. Graeme and Margaret.
Went fishing at Karumba We went fishing yesterday pm on a half day charter, another couple and us. We got 11 nice eating fish to bring home, so the freezer is now full -even the iceblocks had to come out to make room! 3 different varieties of fish, including blue nosed and silver salmon (which have white flesh), and skipjacks. We were fishing in 800mm of water, Den would have loved pulling up the anchor at that depth!! It was a challenge for Chris to clean the fish with our multipurpose knife. This CP is set up for fishermen with lots of fish cleaning tables. Lots come up here with their tinnies for months at a time. No wonder, we have seen more fish caught here than anywhere in oz! By the way, Chris caught more than me yesterday, must be slipping! Cheers Lynne
Gorgeous! Great to hear about all your adventures. Thanks for sending the photo of the ring Lynne, it is beautiful. Well done! Love the frogs in the loo. Great to see you got to the School in the air, that must have been interesting. You look the part in the cockpit of the plane! Enjoy some warm sunshine for us. XX
Our beautiful frogs You musn't mistake our beautiful frogs with those horrible imported toads. You should feel very special to be sharing the WC with such cute little green things. We used to have so many around our place when I was growing up and the toads are gradually killing them off. So smile when you see one and say aaah and never call it a toad.
I wish we were with you I loved that part of the world and the sunsets never fail to amaze. Are you going to do a spot of fishing yourself? Have fun and keep the blogs coming they are very informative.
Love Zena
Gemtime! That looks so exciting, can see how you would get hooked! We would like to see a photo of your ring and the gems next time! Great to see you were able to get to see Snow and Zena's patch. Safe travelling.
Carnarvon Gorge Thanx for taking the time to contact us when in Mudjimba. Great pics. Good to know everything is going so well. Have fun. Looking forward to your next comments. Regards, Jill and Phil
