Hunter Valley experience Hi Guys
How many bottles of Hunter Valley wine did you have to personally taste in order to decide Aussie wine just doesn't stack up against the NZ wines??
We're back from our jaunt and wish we could come with you on your's You sure are having a good time. chris I see you are in your shorts ...no rain........ We had a great 2 weeks at Sapphire and came home with a bag of gems. I hope you get to see the place when you are up in QLD again.
Angela and Drew still with us but the house is progressing nicely. I loved the photos of the Gardens, the kids would love to see that. Have a good trip Love Zena and Snow
Hunter photos great photos - love the childrens garden theme ones...maybe you have given us some ideas here for a family trip. Keep it up you two ...we're getting itchy!!
love Rick AND sUE
Weather Linda the temperatures are great during the days, but can be cooler in the mornings and at night, especially if there is a wind blowing. We had our second day of rain yesterday, since we have been over, didn't bother us too much on the wine trail!! Today we went exploring up the Hunter valley, went to Broke, and then had a scone for lunch at Scone! Lots of coalmines .Go to Sydney tomorrow.
You are having so much fun. Hunter valley looks great and the weather too. Ours has improved somewhat and golf course getting better but greens slick as lightening.
We had 9 hole fun day yesterday. A good turn out and great weather for Isobel Newman's commemoration of 50 years at Howick. 9 holers provided the food. Very nice and Isobel and Peg won the competition. Wasnt that nice.
Thats all for now. Going to play first round of Glenfern with Anne R against Mary E and Ann M!! I will have to give heaps of shots no doubt. Ann R has new clubs so I am expecting great things!!
Bye for now
Jenny
Good travel photos Hi Lynne and Chris looks like you are really getting about. Love the Hunter Valley pics- awesome and good to see pics of Sue, Anna and kids-obviously happy and enjoying themselves. I study up what you are wearing in the photos and can see it is a lot warmer over there, lucky you!! 4x4 drive looks good :)
I am so envious of that sun and sand. It is back to cold and wet again here. We had one great day on Monday and golf was almost spring like and yesterday, Wed, a big turnout for golf. Not great golf though. Starting our renovations next week. Chaos will rain but over by November we hope! Have a shiraz for me (most popular Aussy drink i believe???!) Great photos too.
Any chance of a swapping places? Hi guys
The communication is fantastic thanks and I know you are sending the photos just to make us all jealous.
Just to up date you, I snapped my Achilles Tendon yesterday and am in plaster and on crutches for 8 weeks. I would rather be swanning around Aussie!!. Would you like to swap places??
Very best regards - enjoy the trip.
Lookin' good! Sure looks like you are getting to see and do lots. Keep up the good work with the photos and travel log Lynne. Makes us feel like we are there with you. Have fun. XXXX
Envious Hi Lynne, it sounds great especially the blue skies bit! I couldn't open your photos, they are just black squares. Our weather was supposed to be warmer and dryer than ave until xmas, but it hasn't happened yet!
Janis.
Go the all Blacks. Enjoyed seeing the photos and hearing of your travels. Please keep sending them. First really nice day for a while. Walked with friends at Omanu and Maraetai and the weather was definitely spring. Mowed the lawns and gardened this afternoon. Elections on Nov 8th so don't forget to get to a booth. What a close match with the Wallabies. It could have been anyones game. Cheers, Peg.
Living the dream Wow you guys sure are living the dream!! Your photos look great and obviously you are having a ball-the prawns look especially yummy, can't wait to get some of those in a couple of weeks!! You really look the part now Lynne sitting there with your communication equipment. This blog is so fantastic-good on you guys-ENJOY and keep up the great work(what's that????).
Finished too quickly as horrible council guy came to see if fencing had started. I said no and slammed door! Oh dear. He is such a bureaucrat and had a permanent grin on his face. I would love to sock him one!!
Look forward to hearing your next adventure. Beach looked lovely at Sunshine coast. Lucky you! Bye for now. Jenny
Thanks for lovely photos. You will be glad to relax after a hectic time. We had a taste of good weather but turned to custard again today when we are all meant to be playing Glenfern. So much has been postponed or cancelled. Not much happening here at Laytons except new kitchen and carpet going in hopefully in nest 2 months and Chris is starting pool fencing next week. All the decking has to come up first as it is rotten underneath through lack of air so you can imagine the mess. Boris will love it. He has just had an $80 haircut. Looks a million $$$. Went to the Wag and Walk at Milford on Sat. 100s of dogs all parading through Takapuna to Milford with scarfs on.
Photos Your rig looks fantastic and you look very comfortable in the photos. Super to see Jill and Phil's yacht. You have been busy in the short space of time you have been there. Keep up the great work with the travel blog Lynne-fabulous! XXXX
First days as grey nomads! Awesome to see you are set up now and ready to roll. Didn't take long to find a beachside spot! Great you caught up with Jill and Phil. Good luck on your journey South.
