So yes, I kind of fell off the Earth in the writing sense for a little while there. I'm back! Welcome me! (Kidding.) For my new blog of 2007 I have made some new decisions that I hope to stick to (no matter how hard they are). I've decided that it would be better for me to keep my life with Cam out of this page. It has been the same for a long time and I do not predict it to go anywhere new any time soon. I have been frustrated about it and I will continue to stay frustrated [View Full Entry]

Relationships are interesting things. There are so many different kinds to be exposed to. Some people like to keep the person they are with all to themselves and not share that person with anyone else. This kind isn't normally very healthy as people, like animals, aren't used to living in cages. Some people share their feelings around anyone so that no matter who they're with they act the same around the person they love. For example, my parents generally seem to do this. No matter who is around they have their cute moments together that they don't feel too uncomfortable sharing [View Full Entry]

Driving a car through some of the most beautiful parts of the US. What can I describe it as that would make the world of foreigners understand? Trekking. You're working to get somewhere for the day and that place is your goal. In the meantime you're not really doing much work, unlike trekking you let the car do your body's work and the rest of it is just making sure the car stays between two nice lines and the people around you don't go too crazy. The scenery around you stays consistently beautiful and you wonder who lives in these tiny [View Full Entry]

I have been on the phone for an hour and 10 minutes now telling people over and over again my subscriber number and my "problem". The doctor said I had to call Blue Cross Blue Shield (my insurance), Blue Cross said I had to call Medco and Medco said I had to call Blue Cross. So I talked to Blue Cross and then called Medco and then called Blue Cross back again and they connected me to Medco! This is freaking RIDICULOUS!!!! I swear to the lordy if I am on this phone at 3pm I am going to scream. Oh, [View Full Entry]

So I realize that I'm here in a hometown where I know almost no one at all except my parents and my sister but for some reason I feel more alone here than normal sometimes. I don't really feel like I can go up to people and randomly talk like I do in most places. There are some strange places where I feel a little bit more comfortable, like talking to people about trekking in the Provisions store. I've noticed I haven't seen a single Chinese speaking person the entire time I've been here. I saw a Chinese couple in the [View Full Entry]

America is a funny place with two pretty huge obsessions - one is TV and the other is health. Today I went to two different doctors to get "regular check-ups" something that especially my family gets done a lot, just in case. Afterwards I bought a pack of pills, two creams, and floss. It used to kind of be a joke in our household that everything caused cancer, cause that's what everything seemed to talk about. You eat the wrong foods, use the wrong kind of computer, do whatever, you've ultimately got cancer. Although the truth is the only thing that [View Full Entry]

A part of me dies tonight. A part of my tomboyish self that enjoys being loud and laughing like a true American. In truth it's been dieing all along. I've seen myself grow from the loud boisterous self that walks into the Salon screaming in anger at Merry, not caring about anyone else in there, to today. Today I walked in and did what any Japanese woman might have done - sat quiet and folded my legs in one chair until someone came over to say hi to me. Didn't speak or laugh or eat much, apparently this is what's called [View Full Entry]

"A lot of people don't know where I'm from" she goes on and on in Chinese. "I knew where you were from in the beginning. You want to know how? You look Asian and you talk someone's ear off in Chinese, therefore you have to be Chinese. They are the only ones who talk so damn much!" I want to tell her but don't. I suppose I'm probably having some form of culture shock going back to all the Chinese. Japanese people don't talk to you unless you ask them for something and then they're generally super sweet but don't ask [View Full Entry]

For the past five years of my life I've spent a lot of time on buses, trains, planes and cars. I think I've come of the opinion that in terms of being a passenger trains are by far the best. On trains I can sit and stare at the scenery, eat whatever I please, sleep in peace and comfort when i want to and not get sick. Cars, buses and trains are by far best for scenery - and as anyone knows who has been on a plane with me before, I spend mot of the time sleeping anyways. Cars can [View Full Entry]

Today was an absolutely crazy day. I woke up late - just before 10 and as I had to be out by 10 I rushed to get out. Then I went to find Internet. "Internet?" I asked many people, having to mime a computer as I did it. No one knew. Finally I found one guy who motioned to me to come with him. Expecting to go up to a bunch of computers I followed him and was led into a white room with only a desk up on teh fourth floor, the kind of room they interrogated Neo (from the [View Full Entry]
