Hello all! It's August and our little girl is 6 months next week - where did the year go? A summary of what we have been up to since I last updated the blog: Can't remember if I mentioned last time, but I have started Mums Bootcamp - a twice weekly exercise group for women .... where they take your babies off you for an hour and work you to death! :-) Good fun. Olivia thinks so too! Olivia went to her first movie last month - Mamma Mia ... she slept through the whole thing though. Mummy was pleased. A [View Full Entry]

Hi guys Hope you all had a good June. Can't believe it is the middle of the year already and winter (well 18 degrees celsius here - ha ha ha to those of you in the UK!) in Australia. As usual, life has revolved around Olivia, not that we're complaining, so our travel blog for June is naturally full of photos of her. She's now 4.5 months and a happy little girl. Life is starting to return to normal for her parents :-) and we're getting out and about more. Looking forward to seeing friends and family in the UK in [View Full Entry]

So sorry it has been a while since I updated our blog, but life became rather hectic, as you all know, after Olivia's arrival on 13 February. I wont scare you with all the details, but the birth was (apart from painful of course) the most amazing experience ever. Now our little munchkin is already three weeks old and growing fast. Here are some pics of her over the past few weeks. She's been a real pleasure - very calm baby - she sleeps really well. We're very lucky. I've also included a photo of Mike on his boat - taken [View Full Entry]

Hi all I've just remembered that I never uploaded our New Year's Eve party pics to the Travel Blog, sorry. So here is a photo diary of our 31 December 2007. We had a fun time. Living on the harbour we had the perfect view of the festivities on and over the harbour - including plane fly-bys, yachts and fireworks. We invited a few friends over - did some fishing on our wharf and had a few drinks, had a braai (BBQ) for dinner, watched the 9pm family fireworks from our balcony and the midnight fireworks from a rooftop in our [View Full Entry]

Well, I can't believe the time finally came around for ME to have a baby shower! Lisa arranged for a group of my friends to join me for a typical British high tea at the lovely Queen Victoria Building Tea Room this afternoon (see www.thetearoom.com.au). Sarah, Heather, Michaela, Janine, Bianca, Lisa, Trudy, Hannah and Georgie were there and we had a lovely time gorging ourselves on savoury and sweet treats, champers and a variety of teas ... very lady like - how things have changed! Our baby girl was spoilt rotten with some lovely gifts such as cot sheet sets, toiletries, [View Full Entry]

Hello friends and family Well, we've both had a very nice Xmas break from work. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year too. Just wanted to show you some photos we took in December 2007. I also have some news and pics from New Year but will upload these soon, not today. We had our client launch function at my work to celebrate our new office and below is a caricature of me, what a laugh ... note the rugby ball in my tummy (a tribute to the Boks World Cup win!). Also below is a pic of [View Full Entry]

Hi again family and friends. Can you believe it's November already?! ... well almost December even. Here are a few photos to summarise our month, including shots of my growing belly at 26 weeks ('cos some of you have been nagging to see it ;-) ), fireworks over Sydney Harbour taken from our balcony (an almost weekly event, thanks to cruise ships and other harbour parties, which is great), some photos from after my birthday lunch (sorry, forgot to take some at the lunch I was having so much fun), and some photos from an afternoon gambling on the horses (an [View Full Entry]

Hello again family and friends, Here's the next Travelblog installment for September and October. We went to Mark and Lisa's wedding on the 22nd of September. It was in an area called Bowral, a couple of hours drive south west of Sydney, at a gorgeous Manor which is known for having one of the top 10 gardens in the world. Just a reminder: Mark was Mike's groomsman. Mark and Lisa both looked great - see the pics from the wedding attached. We had a great time. Mike and I stayed at a beautiful cottage called Sally's Rose Cottage - it looked [View Full Entry]

I know, I know!!! So sorry it has taken me so long to upload our photos from Bill and Pat's (Mike's parents) visit to Sydney and our trip to the Great Barrier Reef with them. Life has been a little hectic, what with being pregnant and lethargic etc, but I think I am back in 'business' now. We had a lovely time in the Great Barrier Reef. We travelled to Cairns (north east coast of Australia) where we boarded the Coral Princess - a dive and snorkel boat - and spent four nights and three days exploring the likes of Cooktown, [View Full Entry]

Hi all! Last Saturday Mike and I joined some of his colleagues at the Children's Cancer Institute's 'Blush Diamond Ball' at the Hilton in Sydney CBD. It was attended by various companies throughout Sydney and almost $400,000 was raised from the evening's auctions and donations. It was a nice opportunity to glam up, though Mike has sworn never to wear a pink tie again :-) Here are some pics from the evening. They're not superb though because the lighting made it quite tricky to take clear photos. Caroline x [View Full Entry]
