Hi Everyone, I wanted to put in some pictures of Allen's and my visit to Ballykelly in Northern Ireland to visit his family, and to see some of Ireland as well. We took the car and went over on the ferry, which was really nice. We drove all night to Liverpool and got the day ferryover, which takes around 8 hours. But, we slept through the meal but luckily a sympathetic barperson gave me some sandwiches and a couple of danishes and tea. Very nice. If anyone has ever done it though, finding the ferry port in Liverpool is pracically impossible [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, It's been a long time coming I know but I can finally update this blog after 3 months. I have the internet at home and a laptop now so I won't have any excuses not to update everyone on what's been happening. I'll start with some of the places I've seen in Cornwall and Devon. I've done a day trip to Oxford but didn't take a camera (very silly of me as the buildings there were really nice and I wish I'd been able to take some pictures). I'm really enjoying living in Plymouth as it's on the border [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, I'm so sorry I've been so slack and haven't up date this in how long? Since September the rumour goes. I hope it isn't that long, although I think it is. I hope that everyone is well and that you enjoy your Christmas and New Year. It will be the hardest this year not spending it with either Mum or Dad and their families on each side, and I hope the cold doesn't get to me too much. I must admit, it isn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be this time of year. The locals tell [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm in Colchester at the moment and have been for about a week. I came back to see Trevor's family here, Pat, John, Kevin and Mary. It's been nice to be back in a homey environment after spending over a month in hostels. They're great, but it's good to take a break from them. Thank you all for looking after me during my time here. The highlight had to be playing cards and winning when it was only my first time playing Phase 10. And no Pat I didn't cheat. I won't gloat though........ [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, While I have some time I thought I'd make this blog as up to date as possible. From Cornwall I went to Bristol, to Wales then to Bath then back to Bristol and to Newark (Nottinghamshire). That's where I am at the moment. My time in Cornwall was great - except for some eccentrics in the hostel in Penzance it was great. I shared a room with a lady in her 90's who whispered at night time, crumpled pieces of paper, and turned the light on every 2 hours. I was then moved to a room with a guy [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, Well I'm finally able to update things. It's been so long and I apologise for the long delay. Lots has happened and there's been lots to do and not enough cheap internet access around, or USB access or burning facilities. Anyway, let's begin......... From my last entry I'd been staying in Kent with some of Trevor's family and I was lucky enough to get a lift to Exeter in Devon. I stayed there for a week and kind of liked it but kind of didn't. So I went to Plymouth and after being told how awful it is by [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I last wrote and I hope you're all well. While I was in Reading I checked out an Abbey which was really nice. Not so nice that the last Abbot (his friend apparently) and 3 monks were hanged, drawn and quartered by King Henry XIII for 'treason.' Coincidentally, just after this the abbey became a royal palace. How things work out.......... From London I went to Cambridge to see Jenny and Chris, as well as meet Jenny's sister Pat (both my Dad's cousins) and their family. It was so beautiful in Cambridge, I really [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, Since the last time I wrote I've been to Colchester and London (yes, again). I'm in Reading at the moment visiting Jo and am heading to Cambridge in the next couple of days. My time in Colchester with Trevor's sister, Pat, was great. I don't think I've laughed so much in 3 days as I did then. I was able to see my first castle in Colchester which was very interesting. Then I went to London to meet my second cousin, Duncan for the day. He took me to Soho, Camden (this is great. To anyone who likes Fremantle [View Full Entry]

Hi Everyone, Well I've been in England now for about a week and a half. My flight was good on the way over. Luckily the seat next to me was free so I was able to have a lie down and get a few hours sleep. I made my way to Hornchurch with my great aunt and uncle, about an hour from London. Getting the tube was interesting. It wasn't anywhere near as bad or scary as I thought it would be, but still amusing. I went to London for around 3 days and saw most of what I wanted to [View Full Entry]

Well the four weeks in WA went so much quickly than I thought it would. Catching up with my family and friends has been great but it's gone way too quickly. I did get to catch up and Sim and I did get to be tourists at the Roundhouse in Freo .............. It was so nice to be home and go to some of my favourite places, but I really should have made the effort to see more. But with travel insurance, bank accounts, organising accommodation for when I get to the UK, and seeing people (and all those sleep-ins) there [View Full Entry]
