Hello again all! There are new subscribers that are people we have only recently met (hello!) and some new subscribers that should have been on here the whole time and have a lot of reading to do to catch up - sorry Charlie and Ben! A large part of travelling seems to be waiting around. Waiting for planes, trains, buses, accommodation availability etc. etc. and we seem to have become far more patient for it (don't have a choice really as you'd go mad otherwise!). Our previous journal entry ended with us in Luala Lumpur where we had a good night of drinking until 4:30 am with Clare and Nev from UK. Siquijor Sojourn!

our friend in law school was running for an elective post in siquijor. he invited us to give him support during the election with free board, lodging and transportation. we went to dumaguete thru air philippines and after an hour flight, we arrived in dumaguete. the place is so peaceful. we went around the city and visited a local mall where we looked for a souvenir t-shirt. we then went to silliman university and the architecture inside the campus is great. after lunch, we went to siquijor where our friend waited for us. he showed us around the small town of siquijor, siquijor before we proceeded to their place in lazi. Bacolod and Mambukal Resort !

our travel to bacolod was unplanned.. yesterday, our boss directed me and one officemate to go to bacolod to meet some clients who are farmer beneficiaries. we immediately went to cubao pal office and booked ourselves a flight to bacolod the next day. despite the rushed schedule, we got to enjoy our trip since after the meeting with the clients, they volunteered to tour us the next day to the city and mambukal resort. Mambukal resort is located 31 km. east of Bacolod City. The resort is surrounded by therapeutic sulfur springs, seven waterfalls, mountain stream, lush valleys and hiking trails leading to Mt. Kanlaon. the waterfalls in mambukal was so breathtaking. although we had to trek to reach the falls, well, that was all worth it. ... read more
