once in a while, it is great to unwind and travel without thinking of all the hustles and bustles of a busy life. I know that there is a fascinating world waiting to be explored whether here in the Philippines or in distant lands. i would love to travel and explore the world someday, if not sooner.
"The impulse to travel is one of the hopeful symptoms of life". - Agnes Repplier
"Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset,
two golden hours, each set with 60 diamond minutes.
No reward is offered, for they are gone forever."

Apo Reef Natural Park is located in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro. "It is acclaimed as the best in Asia and second largest in the world, as the diving mecca of the Philippines. It is a 34- kilometer reef, located 20 miles west of Mindoro proper, with a narrow channel running east to west, dividing this reef into two lagoon systems, north and south. Underneath, the clean waters, fine white sand and numerous corals are visible. The Apo Reef includes the fascinating bird-populated islands of Binangaan and Caois del Bajo, which have a variety of birds that can irresistibly lure birdwatchers. The surrounding waters are abundant with marine fauna and luxuriant coral growth represented by approximately 400-500 kaleidoscopic coral species. Marine life includes varieties of sharks, sting rays and manta rays." (www.tourism.gov.ph) How to get there: From ... read more

One fine saturday, me and my friends had some rest and recreation at the Farm @ San Benito. The place which is located in Brgy. Tipakan, Lipa City, Batangas is a two hour drive from Manila. We left Manila at 7:00am, had our breakfast at Jolibee, Caltex Station, South Expressway and arrived at around 9:30 am. With a map in tow, we found the place easily although it is situated in a very remote area. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us a welcome drink of coconut water with a dash of kalamansi. How refreshing! She gave us a tour around the north wing part of The Farm. Included in our package is a Live Blood Analysis (LBA) wherein you will know how your blood cells react. After the LBA session, we ... read more

Batam is one of the 3,000 islands which make up the Riau Archipelago and is closest to Singapore which is only 5o minutes away by ferry (Batam Fast). the island is developing into a major tourist destination because of its proximity to Singapore. Many tourists come from nearby Singapore for a short holiday, duty free shopping and great seafood. For instance, in our tour group, me and my friend were the only Filipinos out of 12 people. the rest were singaporeans who were having holiday at the Holiday Inn and other hotels. Despite the budding economy, Batam retains the rural charm, peaceful spots with quiet beaches. Fishing villages supply delicious seafood to visitors. We had our sumptous lunch at Golden Prawn restaurant. While in Batam, we visited Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya, one of the largest ... read more

Included in our package tour is a trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The place is quite similar to the Philippines. The tour guide fetched us from our hotel at 7:45am. Since we were only 5 in the group, we were able to save time in the immigration. From previous tour with big group, we spent an hour waiting for the rest to passed through an immigration. Many hours were wasted just waiting for the others. According to our tour guide, Johor is the third largest and one of the most developed states in Peninsular Malaysia. three time bigger than singapore in terms of land area. It is situated at the southern tip of the peninsula, just across the straits of Johor from Singapore. It is connected to Singapore by a road and rail causeway. A ... read more

Sentosa means tranquility in Malay, it is a popular island resort in Singapore. It offers a kaleidoscope of attractions and activities. We were really amazed by the breathtaking beauty of the lush greenery peppered with picturesque scenery. Nature really beckons everywhere on Sentosa, we saw peacocks roaming around, monkeys and squirrels. It was a lovely sight. We had a close encounter with the sea creatures when we visited the Underwater World. We marvelled at the exciting Luge Ride and were quite animated by the panoramic view in the Sky Tower. Quite an adventure. We also had the chance to see the Merlion which stands 37 meters tall. It has two viewing decks which offers a breathtaking view of Sentosa, Singapore's skyline and the surrounding islands. It was unfortunate though that we weren't able to experience ... read more

On a gloomy saturday morning, our flight to singapore via Philippine Airlines was 7:20am. We were at the airport as early as 4:30am in order to avoid rush in the check in counter. Our flight turned out fine and smooth despite the impending typhoon in nearby provinces. We reached Changi International Airport exactly after three hours and 10 minutes. Since we arranged a package tour, the tour guide met us at the airport and after dropping us off to the hotel to leave our baggage, we proceeded with the city tour. The first thing we did was the river cruise. It was such a fascinating sight while on cruise, there was the view of the esplanade, high rise buildings, merlion, clarke quay bars and many others. After the river cruise, the tour guide dropped us ... read more

"Taal Volcano has been called the smallest active volcano in the world. It is located about 70 km south of Manila in the middle of a lake called Taal Lake. What makes Taal Volcano unique is the fact that the volcano itself forms an island that has a lake of its own inside the crater which is called the "Crater Lake", thus it is a lake within a lake." the volcano island can be reached by taking a half hour boat ride from any town on the shores of Taal Lake but the most popular jumpoff point is from the town of Talisay. -EPPGarcia the adventure: we left manila at 6am and were stucked in traffic in bacoor, cavite. after 2 and a half hours drive, we finally reached tagaytay.. we drove going to talisay, batangas ... read more

yesterday, we went to donsol. now its time to explore camarines sur (well, particularly Pili). a trip to the beautiful province of Camarines Sur in Bicol would not be complete without a visit to the CWC. The CWC boast the best wakeboarding cable park in the world. International wakeboarders flock to CamSur on the regular to have a taste of what they call "Paradise". we were on the road at 8 in the morning and reached pili at 10am.. we only had 4 hours to spend in pili as we had to go back to albay before 4pm. for such a short time though, we actually enjoyed our stay. some tried wakeboarding but most of us were just spectators. anyway, we heard about the Camsur Watersports Complex in tv and thru the net. since my friends ... read more
