once in a while, it is great to unwind and travel without thinking of all the hustles and bustles of a busy life. I know that there is a fascinating world waiting to be explored whether here in the Philippines or in distant lands. i would love to travel and explore the world someday, if not sooner.

"The impulse to travel is one of the hopeful symptoms of life". - Agnes Repplier

"Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset,
two golden hours, each set with 60 diamond minutes.
No reward is offered, for they are gone forever."
- Horace Mann

Apo Reef Natural Park is located in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro. "It is acclaimed as the best in Asia and second largest in the world, as the diving mecca of the Philippines. It is a 34- kilometer reef, located 20 miles west of Mindoro proper, with a narrow channel running east to west, dividing this reef into two lagoon systems, north and south. Underneath, the clean waters, fine white sand and numerous corals are visible. The Apo Reef includes the fascinating bird-populated islands of Binangaan and Caois del Bajo, which have a variety of birds that can irresistibly lure birdwat [View Full Entry]

One fine saturday, me and my friends had some rest and recreation at the Farm @ San Benito. The place which is located in Brgy. Tipakan, Lipa City, Batangas is a two hour drive from Manila. We left Manila at 7:00am, had our breakfast at Jolibee, Caltex Station, South Expressway and arrived at around 9:30 am. With a map in tow, we found the place easily although it is situated in a very remote area. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us a welcome drink of coconut water with a dash of kalamansi. How refreshing! She gave [View Full Entry]

Batam is one of the 3,000 islands which make up the Riau Archipelago and is closest to Singapore which is only 5o minutes away by ferry (Batam Fast). the island is developing into a major tourist destination because of its proximity to Singapore. Many tourists come from nearby Singapore for a short holiday, duty free shopping and great seafood. For instance, in our tour group, me and my friend were the only Filipinos out of 12 people. the rest were singaporeans who were having holiday at the Holiday Inn and other hotels. Despite the budding economy, Batam retains the ru [View Full Entry]

Included in our package tour is a trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The place is quite similar to the Philippines. The tour guide fetched us from our hotel at 7:45am. Since we were only 5 in the group, we were able to save time in the immigration. From previous tour with big group, we spent an hour waiting for the rest to passed through an immigration. Many hours were wasted just waiting for the others. According to our tour guide, Johor is the third largest and one of the most developed states in Peninsular Malaysia. three time bigger than singapore [View Full Entry]

siloso beach
Sentosa means tranquility in Malay, it is a popular island resort in Singapore. It offers a kaleidoscope of attractions and activities. We were really amazed by the breathtaking beauty of the lush greenery peppered with picturesque scenery. Nature really beckons everywhere on Sentosa, we saw peacocks roaming around, monkeys and squirrels. It was a lovely sight. We had a close encounter with the sea creatures when we visited the Underwater World. We marvelled at the exciting Luge Ride and were quite animated by the panoramic view in the Sky Tower. Quite an adventure. [View Full Entry]

Uniquely Singapore Asia » Singapore
On a gloomy saturday morning, our flight to singapore via Philippine Airlines was 7:20am. We were at the airport as early as 4:30am in order to avoid rush in the check in counter. Our flight turned out fine and smooth despite the impending typhoon in nearby provinces. We reached Changi International Airport exactly after three hours and 10 minutes. Since we arranged a package tour, the tour guide met us at the airport and after dropping us off to the hotel to leave our baggage, we proceeded with the city tour. The first thing we did was the river cruise. [View Full Entry]

taal volcano crater
"Taal Volcano has been called the smallest active volcano in the world. It is located about 70 km south of Manila in the middle of a lake called Taal Lake. What makes Taal Volcano unique is the fact that the volcano itself forms an island that has a lake of its own inside the crater which is called the "Crater Lake", thus it is a lake within a lake." the volcano island can be reached by taking a half hour boat ride from any town on the shores of Taal Lake but the most popular jumpoff point is from the town [View Full Entry]
