Photographer - 'KLPC' : "Prepare to get soaked because the hike requires climbing over a log jam, wading waist-deep in freezing water, then walking to a secluded waterfall at the end, but it's worth every numb toe to catch a glimpse of this amazing gorge. "

Oneonta Gorge was voted one of America's most surreal natural wonders, and it certainly lived up to expectations. The flora is lush and eerily green, almost alien. The water is crystal clear and calming, but don't underestimate it because one misstep and you'll be soaked. The next time you're around Portland, grab a camera and hike to this gem for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Reply to this
