This photo was taken in the Murray River Regional Park just north of Echuca (Vic), but in NSW, just east of Mathoura (one of the small towns on the Cobb (The Long Paddock) Highway which we were following north. We had been there for 3 nights, and the weather had been lovely and warm. But on this our last night, the temperature dropped and we were freezing. Consequently we were up a lot earlier than we might otherwise have been, to light a fire and get warm. This was the sight that greeted us ... I guess the river had warmed up over previous days and this cold snap really had the mist rising heavily. It was a beautiful sight as you can all see. Reply to this
