I just finished a 3 month tour through Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
I bought this motorcycle in Hanoi and have had the most amazing trip with it. I got such a different experience than what i would have had taking other transportation, not to mention the amount of money i saved!
All border crossings were easy and i never paid more than $5 in fees. Never once asked for Drivers License or International Drivers License.
These bikes are shockingly great for travel. Through mountains, floods, monsoon mud, and high speed highways you couldn't want anything more.

Light enough to put on trains, buses, and trucks easily and cheap.
Parts for the Win are interchangeable with the Wave so parts are available all over SouthEast Asia and mechanics are dirt cheap. 4 Stroke engines so you don't have to worry about oil to fuel mixture.
Haven't had any accidents since i have had it and no major engine problems. I have just replaced the clutch, sprocket and chain as they were starting to wear so have a long life left in them.
I did a ton of research about this trip beforehand and If you want to travel SE Asia including Vietnam, you need to buy a bike here. It is not possible to bring a foreign bike into the country. Vietnam has a 150cc limit on bikes allowed in the country.
I am currently in Luang Prabang in Laos and will be here for another week, however I can deliver the bike to other parts of the country if necessary. Even the Laos/Vietnam border. I am also returning to cambodia in 4-8 weeks so a buy back in cambodia is negotiable as I really don't want to see the end of her!
