The coronavirus pandemic has forced the redesign of events on Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in general to the virtual format.
Due to the strong pandemic of the coronavirus that has forced the closure of massive events, the main conferences on Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in this first half of the year have had to go virtual to continue with the scheduled schedule. If you had planned to travel to one of these events it’s time to adjust your plans. Luckily for you, they won’t be canceled completely but take to the virtual space. The first step was proposed by https://satoshipoint.io/
which already had some experience with virtual blockchain conferences.
With widespread mandatory isolation in almost every major country in the world where some of these events would take place, many organizers now offer the virtual online alternative to host stipulated high-level events.
As a highly distributed and digital industry, event organizers are proving to be particularly resilient in the face of a crisis, with several now offering virtual alternatives to traditional conferences.
Jalisco Talent Land
From Mexico the event will take place between April 13 and 17 virtually due to the ban on meetings or massive events due to the pandemic. The maximum event of the year in the Latin country, will be held completely free and will have important speakers from both crypto and technology industries in general from companies such as IBM, Bitso, Binance, among others. In addition, the Talent Hackathon will be held looking for projects that propose specific strategies with a view to economic recovery once the pandemic has been overcome. The event has more than 700 registered people and its face-to-face format is expected to take place on June 29 at Expo Guadalajara.
The event scheduled to take place this April 16 and 17 is the first of the most important on the calendar. Organizers will hold a digital conference organized for the first time this year in response to blockades imposed by the pandemic. The conference will be held via Zoom, where participants will be able to see the speakers and their presentations, participate in live question and answer sessions addressing the speakers directly and participate with other attendees in round tables and panels. The event features some important industry representatives like Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, rapper artist Akon, Shapeshift founder Eric Vorhees and Stellar Co-founder Jed McCaleb, among others.

The summit, which is generally held as part of New York Blockchain Week, this year will be held virtually but with many of the characteristics of previous live summits. A Hackathon hosted by Gitcoin and a large list of speakers with a large part of the maximum exponents of the most important altcoin in the crypto market such as Vitalik Buterin, Joseph Lubin of ConsenSys, Taylor Monahan of MyCrypto and journalist Camila Russo. The summit will be held on May 7 and tickets are free, prior registration by the official website of the event.
The annual event organized by CoinDesk, is another event that opens virtual doors to technology. With 150 speakers over five days, it seems to offer plenty of entertainment for anyone still locked away at home. Similar to BlockDown, the keynote speaker is Akon, who is promoting his own Blockchain project. In addition to the rapper, Brian Klein of Baker Marquart, Caitling Long CEO of Avanti Bank, among others is included.
AIBC Manila Summit

While certain travel plans may have been ruined, the future of bitcoin and blockchain seems to not falter. Hopefully next year these events will resume their regular exhibitions.
