Never been on holiday in Europe before so any info/help is much appreciated.

Hi guys, first post here!

Erm... not much to say, heading to Riga in mid September for a long weekend with a close mate of mine and was wondering what is the night-life like, what I should look out for, things to do etc.

Absolutely anything is appreciated, only evern been to China/HK (Chinese origin) so this is totally new kettle of fish for me.

Ohh please there are things to do in Riga even for just couple of hours, don't waste time sitting in the airport.
at least go to the old town and spend some time sitting there or eat some lunch in the restaurant! I know portal where a lot of good places are mentioned <snip>- friend of mine suggested that there are a lot of places/things to see/do while in Riga.
