We are going to be staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort on an all-inclusive package. Is there much around that area? Other places to eat, party, shop? I have been told that Aruba is like no other Caribbean destination. Reply to this

I will also be staying at this Resort in April. Please let me know your dislikes and likes. I am also interested in trying a few day trips. I would love to hear how your vacation went. Reply to this

Hi,
I went to Aruba in 2004. I stayed at the Aruba Grand and had a great time. The hotel wasn't great (not bad either - just alot of old people) but the island was!
There are alot of things to do on the island. I have an aruba blog up and it has some photos of what we did. I would also recommend the frommers website for tips and ideas. Please check out my blog and let me know if you have more specific questions. I would be happy to help but to tell you all I did and/or wanted to do I could ramble for ever without specific questions... Reply to this

We have been to Aruba. we stayed for 4 nights at the Wynham resort. We rented a jeep, you need 4 wheel for the back roads. Most impressive caves, the natural bridge. Aruba is a tiny island, 1 day of rental will go a long way. The dividivi trees, you get lost in the island, make your way back to the resort area by following the the way the trees point. When we were there, the Easter winds were blowing. I remember standing by the lighthouse, wind was so strong, we kept losing our footing. It blew at 40 miles an hour for the whole time. Now the lee side of the Island, where resorts are located was fine.
In actuality, of the ABC the best one is Curacao. Has the best rating all around.
Enjoy! Happy travels.

stayed in Aruba for eight nights/nine days, it was great, but rather boring, very tourist, nothing really interesting to see. Kinda' like vacationing in Miama. Reply to this
