landlady7 queen sarah saturday Post Count: 1 Msg: #1 984 days ago, March 22nd 2007 | Hey there, | This is my first time here in travelblog. How are you doing guys? My first travel alone experience was fabulous! I went to Istanbul and I just don't want to leave. I like the idea of traveling alone so much but I have a problem asking people to take my photos. I have a digital camera, sometimes I am afraid people will steal it (hehehe) but most of the time people just dont know how to take pictures. Can I have advices what is the best way to take my own picture? I mean my whole body; I know how to take my own pictures but I'm tired of just seeing my faces so big. Do I need tripod? Thanks! I think a tripod would do the trick but it would be a pain to lug that around, set it up, make sure you have it set up the right way just to get a picture of yourself. I think setting that up in a busy area makes that more of a target for getting your camera stolen than if you just get a quick picture. In any event, I sometimes request to the person taking my photograph as to whether they could put my head near the top of the picture. This avoids the common problem of having an unusally large amount of space above your head, at the expense of cutting off half of your body. | Oceanblue Kay Post Count: 5 Msg: #5 960 days ago, April 16th 2007 | <----- check my pics.. many of them are "self-taken" (as Ali mentioned) just like this one! | Katm1987 Katherine Post Count: 128 Msg: #6 636 days ago, March 4th 2008 | Attacking tourists is always the best idea however keen some locals might seem to be to try out your camera! My luckiest break was at Machu Picchu when we wanted all of us in a group shot - I managed to find another English tourist who had exactly the same camera as me so no worries about getting a bad photo! | karen033 karen yang Post Count: 1 Msg: #7 636 days ago, March 5th 2008 | I just want to travel alone. However, it's good for group photos that you want to get into as well. | Dendaaan Den daaan Post Count: 18 Msg: #9 614 days ago, March 27th 2008 | OOH tralvel alone is really make you wiwiwieoowowowow :) but if you need a pic , just ask any guy to do it , soooooooo easy . some time when I see a person hold a camera and just walking around I say would you like a pic :) AnnaAdventuring Anna Louise Post Count: 117 Msg: #10 610 days ago, March 31st 2008 | Be careful who you give your camera to - you don't want anyone running off with it. For the most part there will always be other travellers around you. Doesn't matter where they are from, holding out your camera, pointing to yourself and smiling seems to be a universal language!!! | Number of Users: 10 | Number of Posts: 10 | |||||||||||||||||||
