I’m considering going to Budapest for a weekend in vaguely November, but would like to extend the trip by approximately another week. Where do you recommend I go? Presumably this could either stay in Hungary, or could extend out of it.
Reply to this You can travel to Vienna or Bratislava in about 3 hours, or take an overnight train to another city in Europe like Berlin or Warsaw. Really depends if you want to spend the additional week travelling around Hungary, or you want to see some other cities. Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest would be an interesting loop. Check out

How about Amsterdam? Always a good idea! Good combination of culture, with lots of museums, old buildings and canals and a lot of fun! There's tons of <snip>.
