I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the cheapest way to get from one place to another within Europe. I'm going to be in Europe from the end of May until the end of July. I'm starting out in Dublin, which im only there for a day or two, then I head to London for a month. From London, i'm going to Rome for a week, then to Barcelona and then just traveling around Spain for a while. From there, I'm going to Lisbon for about a week, then back to Dublin for my flight home. sorry, that is a lot of information, any advice that anyone has for any or all parts of that itinerary would be more than welcome. Thanks. Reply to this

rentboy,

Europe has a great rail system and cheap city to city airlines. A euro pass by train is great it has several different types unlimited or total number of trips. Airlines like ryan air, easy air and my jet have great deals if your schedule is flexible. Have a great time. Reply to this

Hi rentboy,
I agree with exploring, low cost airlines cover all the destinations on you list. I'd prefer Ryanair because it's cheap and it's quite reliable. The only bit I'd do by train/bus is Spain to Lisbon, especially if you're visiting the south of Spain.
Enjoy it!

I just had a return flight from Dublin to Porto, Portugal which was 1cent on Ryanair... with taxes and baggage fee that was 25 euros each way. I would suggest ending your trip with a flight from Porto to Dublin if you can get this deal. Porto is an amazing city and well worth the trip. I believe it was about 20 euros for a train from Lisbon. Reply to this

RentBoy,

Hands down the best, cheapest, safest and most memorable way to travel through Europe is with a company called Contiki Holidays. I went on a trip with them this past summer, I started in London, then Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Rome, Florence and Venice, with some small countires inbetween. I had the time of my life and meet people that I am still friends with to this day. I was able to pick and chose what I did while I was on the trip but without the hassle of planning every little step like hotel, transportation etc... I was given options and I chose what I wanted to do. That is my advice to you, check out thier website for more info www.contikiholidays.com Reply to this
