Looking for the best way to get from Istanbul to the Croatian Islands...

Hi Travelers,

I will be in Istanbul in July and thinking of taking a trip to Croatia for some sun and beach on my way back to the states, but not sure of the best way to get there... I've been looking up flights but I can't find anything direct from Istanbul to Split or Dubrovnik... any advice? I am open to any means of travel, train, boat??

Thanks all!

Hi, it would be a long and difficult trip however you do it. Certainly not possible to go from Greece to Croatia by boat, maybe there is a ferry connecting Istanbul and Bulgaria. Roads in Bulgaria are not so good, and I suspect the same goes for Serbia. Train connections are probably slow if they exist at all. Maybe better to go to the beach either in Western Turkey or Greece, unless you have lot's of time, money and patience. Reply to this

Have you tried Turkish Airlines. I'm pretty sure they fly direct. Reply to this
