For TravelBlogs birthday week(and beyond if you want), post the best blog and photo you have seen on TravelBlog, in the last 9 years.

When I think of the best blog I have ever seen on TravelBlog, the following one comes to mind. There are lots of great ones, but this one is very special in my opinion.
Escape From Moscow.

The best photos ever are a couple of the ones I see featured on the Front Page now and again. I will have to wait for them to appear there again before posting them, because I dont know where else to find them.

I've had the pleasure of reading many amazing blogs on this website, sadly most of which I've forgot the name of, or who they were by. There is one that stands out though, not only for the writing and pictures, but also for the uniqueness of the experience. Very few people go to North Korea, and even fewer are able to wonder around the streets independently.

This is very hard to narrow down but the best blog that sticks in the memory for me has to be Malaria, starvation and babushki in a Russian state hospital by Mr Ed Vallance. Ed has many jaw dropping blogs but this one stands out, if not just for the sheer worrying fact that this guy might die live on travelblog.

My battle with malaria, part 1: the beginnings of an illness that nearly killed me

My battle with malaria, part 2: shamanist reindeer-herding nomads, a near-death experience and "the best hospital in Mongolia"

The best photo(s) iv seen would have to be from the blogs of Cumberland Sausage. This one always makes me smile.

So, many wonderful blogs over the years so it is hard to select just one.

This one offers great writing, photos and adventure. Those that roam the Arctic wastes.....and is one of my all time favorites.
