Flights for the next 24 hours from Bali to Australia have been disrupted due to a volcanic eruption.
Some flights last night were cancelled or diverted. Meteorologists at the Darwin ash cloud advisory centre said flights MAY be disrupted for around 4 days as the wind is blowing the ashcloud from Mt. Bromo towards Denpassar Airport.
If you have a flight booked to or from Bali in the next few days be wise to check with your airline.
Reply to this Thanks for the info Cindy.
Supposed to fly from Bandung to Bali on Tuesday. Will try and keep a eye out for what's going on. If you hear anything, keep us posted.
Reply to this I'm suppost to be getting the bus to Mt. Bromo tomorrow. Do you think this is going to be OK?
Reply to this Not a lot more info other than Jetstar, Cathay Pacific, Strategic, ValuAir and Virgin Blue have cancelled flights again today, Air Asia did not cancel any flights and have not announced any cancellations. Singapore Air cancelled some flights yesterday but have resumed flying today - Monica im pretty sure the bus wont be a problem as its the ash clouds closeness to Ngurah Rai airport which is causing flight delays but there IS a 2km exclusion zone around Mt Bromo itself.
