Are you in Moscow? Are the riots affecting your travels or your life in Moscow?

On Saturday, several thousand young men clashed with police at Manezh Square, just outside the Kremlin. Eighty were briefly detained, but riot police chased most of the crowd into the subway, where they rampaged through the cars threatening non-Russians.

I live in Moscow and I didn't hear anything about it, but then I don't watch TV and rarely read the newspaper! Someone did mention the killing of a football fan though.

Certainly shouldn't affect travel plans though - every day due to my work I travel all over Moscow all day, including usually the spot where these riots took place. There is absolutely no sign anywhere that anything untoward has happened. Reply to this
