Like many people, I started a travelblog as an easy way to keep in touch and share photos with friends and family while I was travelling. However it turns out that it's completely replaced my written diaries, and I love being able to read through my past holiday, relive my highlights and keep my memories fresh. Now it's gone well beyond a diary - I use it as a valuable travel resource and research tool for up to the minute and unbiased travel information. It's an excellent resource for planning trips....or just dreaming!

When I am not actually travelling, I like to travel virtually. With blogs to read, photos to look at, travellers to chat with, I get my virtual travel experience from TravelBlog.

I started using travelblog in 2004. It's easy to use and well designed. When I'm not travelling it inspires me and gives me ideas for future travels.

I’ve used Travelblog for about 5 years - as a contributor and as an up-to-date resource for future travels. Whilst on the road, I found it provided a great way to keep in touch with friends and family at home, and it continues to be a unique forum for other travellers to get in touch since I have returned, where they can ask questions about their similar, upcoming trips. It has also provided a springboard to launch a photographic career and to get published in travel magazines/forums – I’m indebted to Travelblog!

Travelblog is the greatest! Easy to use, photos and video uploading is very user friendly and blogs can be updated with the push of a few buttons. I love the stats page which allows me to see which of my entries are the most popular. I have been living and working in China for three years; Travelblog has been with me from the start and allows me to keep my friends and family updated on my adventures as well as provide me an easy way to store my written and visual experiences. I should hit blog #100 sometime in the next month.

Always like to say that the journey starts the moment you take an interest in a destination...Well, travelblog has been part of every journey I took the past 3 years, might it be when preparing the trip, living it to the full or compiling everything into a blog!

It's straightforward and easy to use; I just have to write my story, upload multiple photos, then it's done! It's a convenient way of sharing travel stories with family and friends and is also a venue where I can get great ideas for my own travels.

From travelblog are 'real stories' ranging from funny, serious, utterly adventurous, very informative, and inspirational. I get to write about my country and read about other's too. There's always a great story to read somewhere. I heart Travelblog!

Travel blog is an ideal platform for me to document my thoughts while on the road. 5 years on and after 178 posts, it has witnessed the highs and lows of my travels. I would continue writing until the day when I retire from the travelling world. Thank you travel blog for making this journey possible.

We've been using travelblog for three years, to journal our travels, and not only is it super easy to use, but the support I get from the staff is wonderful. If I ask a question, someone answers me right a way. They're so helpful, and I also like that they will add any location I ask for.
We travel in the US and Canada only. This lets us keep our friends up-to-date!

My friends and family have been asking me for years when I'll write a book about my travels/experiences, so I started my Travelblog a month ago while in Tibet to appease them. Within a week I was hearing from other females planning trips alone who had questions and concerns about what to expect. I love that I can share my passion for international travel with others, and especially to help the girls like me (once fearful of stepping out into the world alone) to realize that not only can it be done- it can be wonderful.

What can we say that has not already been said by our fellow bloggers? Travelblog is the best thing that ever happened. We owe Travelblog so much for widening our horizons and giving us opportunity to make new friends while on our own journey, if you want good information this is the place to find it, there is nothing like hearing how things really are from your fellow travellers.

Jo and Ali - thank you for your terrific support and words of encouragement....... you have done us all very proud.

Thank You

TravelBlog enhances our travel experience. it forces us to be more aware of our surroundings and feelings so we can create our weekly summary. the user interface helps us to easily create high quality posts and then when we come home we print them to a book with only a few clicks.
we have been using Travelblog to write about all our travels ever since our honeymoon. we now have 2 children and cant wait till August to get back on the road and write again.

if only i had time to back-blog all my earlier travels. to think i used to be satisfied with pins on a map 😊

I started out using travelblog as a way for the children in my primary class in Seattle, WA to follow my adventures on a four month trip through Central America in 2006. Travelblog is now the only way I record our trips...posting photos and journal entries not only brings friends and family "along' on our travels, but creates a record of the trip that I can use to remind me just where that photo was taken or the name of a hotel. But most importantly for me, writing a blog distills the experiences of the day and helps me reflect on what I've seen, instead of it all becoming a blur....

..and in additon I've been able to follow others' travels, and check for up to date info for our next destination.

Thank you for providing this service!

I have been using Travel Blog for five years now, and this site is the best! Everything is so easy and intuitive to use, and the end result looks terrific. I love being able to chronicle my adventures, to upload photos and videos, and also to have the chance to interact with readers through the comments section. Travel Blog also helps as a resource for planning further trips, as well as keeping all those wonderful travel memories and experiences fresh in my mind.

I've seen other travel websites, and this beats them by miles. Thanks again for the development and ongoing improvement of your great website, and all the best from Australia.

We began this as a way for people to follow our escape from Canadian winter. It is a great service we appreciate. Will certainly use it again happily. Makes it easier for family and friends to see what is going on, especially with the ability to post photos. Easy to use, and has impressed some friends with it's look. Love the blog to book option.
Cheers

Thanks to everyone for contributing! - not only is it useful for our marketing, it's been a pleasure to see how much the site is appreciated.

The first use we're making is updating our signup page - a testimonial from an existing blogger is shown prominently - and changes every 5 minutes.

Not only I use Travelblog for just blogging my travels but also to seek travel tips and advice for places I plan to vist. I even enjoy reading fellow bloggers' travels which inspire me to visit new countries and to revist those I'm fond of! I find the information shared by fellow travellers on the Forums refreshing and up to date (unlike many guide books, travel websites and the media). I've made new friends on the site even if we haven't met yet in person and it is nice being part of a like minded community.

I have used Travelblog since 2008 to blog my travels and this has been the best thing for me! The site is constantly updated with the dedicated administrators/moderators who put so much time and energy in updating an amazing website. A work colleague of mine wished she had used Travelblog to blog her travels when she was travelling. It is also sustainable with saving paper and easy links access from anywhere in the world.

I highly recommend it and would recommend my friends to use it for their travels!

Keep up with the good work!

I joined Travel Blog in January 2008 and fell in love with this site. I liked the format and its many advantages, for example, unlimited photos, little space for ads, and easy to use. I can write and edit text as well as pre-moderating comments. I wish I would have found this website earlier and set up my own blog. But better late than never. I now have got more than 100 entries. Travel Blog has changed my life in many ways. I bring my camera everywhere to take photos of the events, festivals, things around me and collect information for different topics. With my Vietnam guide blog and other related information, I hope to make a little contribution to the site and help future tourists visit my country.

I keep tying to catch my testemonial on the Sign Up page, but havent managed to look during the right 5 minutes yet. I have seen the testimonials of lots of the others there, who contributed to this thread though.

Has anyone managed to catch their own there? Scott and Kristys are there at the moment.
