Here in Germany it is Yellow, Red and Black.
It is everwhere here in Munich, Germany, with all kinds of paraphenalia for sale in the shops, such as T-shirts, flags, beer cups, hats... so those who support Germany in the World Cup can make that clear. Everything will be Yellow, Red and Black here in Germany next month.
At least is shouldn't get as crazy here, as it did in 2006, when Munich hosted the world cup. But, I did see some horns for sale. Hopefully, the neighbourhood kids don't get their hands on them.
Reply to this we've seen tons of world cup paraphanalia over here in Malaysia. I didn't realize they were as into the cup as in Europe (but then again what do I know, Hockey all the way!!!!!!!!!!!)
Reply to this I'm English, so support England - although I could do without the over-expectation, and rubbish scandals that the media creates around half of our players.
I have no second team this time around: Ukraine, where I live, got knocked out in the play-offs, as did Russia, where I used to live. I might cheer for Serbia as, on the basis of their cool surnames and midfielder that plays in Kyiv!
I work at a German company, which should be interesting come June!

Reply to this Sofia and I will be there and we both cannot wait!!!!!
Since I am from USA, her mother from Brasil and she was born in Italy, we've got 3 teams to root for. She is really excited and has the clothes/temporary tatoos ready for the matches......We have got tickets to USA V Slovenia and Brasil V Portugal and then a R16 in Jo'burg and quarterfinal in Capetown.
Besides the games and world cup fever, she is looking forward to safari/great white sharks and I am looking forward to wine tasting in Stellenbosch. Also stopping off in Greece and Egypt on way there and back.
I was living in Korea (before sofia was born) during WC2002 and there is nothing like it and cannot wait to get back.
Reply to this BTW...any travel bloggers going to be there???? would love to meet up at a game.
Reply to this Oh, forgot about the soccer ;-)
Thought you were talking about the Rugby World Cup next year......
Reply to this I'm wondering where the most annoying place to watch the world cup will be. I'm in China so England's first game (and games like the final) are at 0230 in the morning. However early kick offs are at a more sensible 1930 and 2200.
I reckon Apia in Samoa must be up there for being one of the least football friendly places to be this summer - with kick off times of 0030, 0300 and 0730. So you're either asleep or on the way to work...
Reply to this I'm with Jo Trouble ... the World Cup is next year and the ball is not round! Is there some other game beside Rugby?
Reply to this Egland just recently won the world cup, in CRICKET!!!
Only t20 but a success none the less and one that, having avidly supported English cricket for 15 odd years, I was very happy about!
However if, as will surely be the case, England go on to lift the footy world cup in July I'll be equally joyous. Perhaps even more so than when we won the world cup with the odd shaped ball!
Reply to this All red shirts here in Seoul, Korea but don't confuse them as red-shirts in Thailand.
Reply to this Three weeks and counting... Australia vs Germany in Durban. I'll be there! C'mon oz.
Reply to this I live in Slovenia, the smallest nation that will play in South Africa 2010. Having beaten Russia to qualify you would expect some kind of interest but very few people know the World Cup is even taking place.
Despite the England vs Slovenia match on 23rd June I'll be able to wave my England flag in the middle of Ljubljana and no one will bat an eyelid.
In contrast by February my skin had already started to tingle in anticipation of 11th June.
Reply to this I live in Canada, so I won't coment on our situation and my second team Ireland (where I'm born) ...I won't make any coments again (my mom is french).
So I will be chearing for England and will be in England at the beginning of the cup.
I always love Beckham, its just too bad he is out.
Reply to this 16 days!!!!!! Kinda sucks that I will be in the airport in Miami to watch the USA-England game, but will be there for other matches.....Go USA/BRASIL/ITALY!!!!!!!
Reply to this The world cup is so exciting!!! I've been in South Africa since September & gradually the hype has been increasing! I'm not even into football & I'm engrossed! Just posted a blog about an amazing experience I had last weekend when a British football team came over to play our local Chintsa team. It was a floodlit night game, the atmosphere was incredible. Have a read if you're interested!
World Cup fever! & bring on the world cup!
Reply to this Here is a photo of the celebrations of the World Cup which was held in Munich, Germany where I live in 2006 and its colours. My boyfriend was at this, but he didnt take this photo.
