I am guessing that I would deffinately need to pre-book somewhere to stay at this time of year as everywhere will be packed?? Also does anyone have any good sugestions for where to stay? I need somewhere cheap and safe!! And I'm wondering how much money I would need for just a two week visit, baring in mind that I plan to enjoy myself!!
any help much appreciated 😊 Reply to this

One more thing! does anyone know of a nice, affordable place to stay near/in the centre of amsterdam? preferably smoker friendly. There will be a few of us so apartments/shared accomodation is fine. Reply to this

When exactly are you going? Hostels are only fully booked around Queensday (30th of april), Newyears and in the summer (may-sep).

What kind of hostel are you looking for?
Hostels usually cost around 20/22 euros a night. Reply to this

I hope to arrive on the 27th of december and stay for two weeks, I know it's a busy time to go so I hope to be able to book somewhere reasonable! Reply to this

And you're already stressing over that NOW? New year just passed! (I'm guessing you could find something decent if you start looking for places 3 nights in advance)

By the way, most Dutchies get tickets to new year parties months in advance. They're usually sold out in mid december. Don't worry! Usually you can still enter the places several hours later/go to one of the many places that doesn't require tickets. Reply to this

My boyfriend and I are travelling to Amsterdam for 6 nights over NYE 2010/2011.
Does anyone know of any good NYE parties/events to go to in Amsterdam on New Years Eve?
Also, what area is good to stay in if we are looking to have a fun time and enjoy lots of nightlife?
Thanks
