Hi, My name is Louis and I live in Vancouver, Canada. I was born and raised in Holland and have traveled extensively in Holland, Belgium, France and Germany. If you could let me know how much time you plan to spend driving through these countries, I can certainly point you in the right direction. I can send you by email a couple of articles I have written about Holland if you would not mind giving me your email address. Mine is: jolouis@telus.net I personally have traveled to Europe every year since 1995 and spent anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months in the countries you mentioned, as well as others. Reply to this

Go to Bavaria in Germany ... that's all you need to know :o)

Munich, Berchtesgaden, Fussen (Neuschwanstein Castle), Oberstdorf etc etc.

Fantastic scenery, fantastic people, fantastic food :o) Reply to this

In Belgium I would recommend, Brussels, Brugge and Gent, if you are pressed for time, Brugge is the best of the bunch... In Holland, Amsterdam and surroundings... I think at Kinderdijk they have the whole touristy windmill thing going on and people in clogs and the whole stuff... In Germany if you are going south to Italy, you could stop in Cologne and as said above, Bavaria is very pretty... If you are going on to Italy from there, you will either pass through Austria or Switserland, both beautiful countries... Northern Italy, Milan, Turin, Genua, Venice and much more... Reply to this

From Germany you can easily get to Poland http://www.travelblog.org/Forum/Threads/13396-1.html
and then to Baltic states. Lots of interesting, mostly unknown in the West places and really great food 😊 Reply to this

if your going to northern italy drop in at slovenia, most beautiful place i have ever been and also lots of extreme sprots (rafting, skydiving, canyoning etc). berlin is a brilliant city with so much history and modern vibrance. as guy above says baltic states, i found riga amazing. to be honest you cant really go wrong in europe so many wonderful places and the more you stay east the easier on your pocket it will be Reply to this
