When something is native to Ecuador, I like to think of a creative name to refer to it as... because i can´t remember the real name most of the time. For example, "EcuaShoes" are the Ecuadorian crocs, popular among women of all ages. If bought in the absolute perfect size, they can be very comfortable. However, don´t expect to wear them for more than a month. You will get your $6.50 out of them, but not much else. "EcuaCheese" is one of the few (if not only) type of cheese in Ecuador. It has a slightly rubbery consistency, and tastes like a mixture of babybel and camabert. Apparently it is common for tourists to quickly grow sick of the cheese, but I just can´t get enough of it!
