We are on a low budget. We are going to go to a jungle lodge for a few days. We want a jungle experience. Is it best to go to the northern area or Tena area.
Reply to this If you stop in TENA, make sure you go white water rafting. It's by far the coolest experience! I did it with a company that is owned by two young ecuadorian brothers and their deaf cousin! We did a Class III / IV run and two of us fell out of the boat but we were rescued right away by our guide. It was part of the experience. Just hold on tight! Your socks will blown off...u even get to jump off a 15 foot high bridge! I forgot the name of the company...but it was in Tena (small busy, dusty, construction site city) near one of the lil "parks with a cross bridge (isla parque Amazonico).
Reply to this Budget jungle destination in Ecuador is Cuyabeno National Park in the Amazon basin. http://www.latitudecuador.com/cuyabeno-jungle-experience-in-the-amazonia/
