Moñitos is a village located on the beaches of Morrosquillo Gulf in the Colombian Caribbean Sea. Moñitos is a municipality that lives on fishing, livestock, agriculture and tourism. Among the tourist attractions of the municipality of Moñitos that can be enjoyed: Mouth of the Mangle River, Beaches Women, among others. It has always been recognized by the Fisherman's Parties. I know I have been giving alot of transportation play by plays but this one needs to be told Medellin to Turbo - 9 hours : We took a night bus that left at 9 pm actually not so bad, the seats reclined pretty far back, we read a bit and then slept most of the way Turbo to Sapzurro - 4 hrs, plus 3 hours of waiting : arrived in Turbo at 6 am, sat in a dirty, stinky, sketchy and rainy port waiting for the boat to take us to our destination, projected time 2 hours, actual time 4. The boat was crowded, the ocean was incredibly choppy, it was pouring, we were absolutely sopping wet, water splashing on us constantly and the boat was swelling up and slamming down on the water..our poor ... read more

So, back to Medellin. So much for just staying another night. I made it out a week later. Can't remember if I said but unless you take advantage of the Monday/Tuesday window's relative calm, you just accept you'll be there for another week. Rather amusingly, all the caners who'd arrived there long before I first did were not only still there but were so sick of the excess that they'd cleaned their acts right up. They were jogging and swimming like nobody's business so each afternoon I'd join them and actually started getting my arse in shape.
