Ahhh, Thank you lovely people for your comments! We like it and keep them coming. Thank you Nick for the Eastenders news! Oh Stacey snogs Max, hmmmm! Once We figure out if we can reply to comments we will.

One week already! We are liking Rio, a little edgy in parts (like on the beach when gun fire echoed in the background and no one seemed to bat an eyelid and when a guy asked us for money and we said no and then he said knife. But dont worry we just walked away, blagger!) but mostly relaxed and frendly. Rio has grown on us and the things we like about Rio are:

Lots of street art - Andy getting bored with Paul taking endless photos.

Freshly squeezed juices - no sugar, just pure. Pear never tasted so good. Lots of Brazillain fruits we never heard of before and to be honest taste a bit strange!

Dogs. Rich people love them and in Zona Sul there are lots and mostly those tiny little jappy ones (oh, Misty we miss you!). Some wear little shoes because they live in flats and it stops wooden floors getting ruined. Some dogs seem unhinged, maybe lack of green space and being treated like a baby?

Street performers at traffic lights. Jugglers performing for communters and acrobats slowing up the traffic.

Bus drivers supporting local economy and allowing people to sell sweets, biscuits, glue and all the handy things you might have forgotten at the shops. Even busckers and all for free.

Buses. Lots and lots racing down the road, but its a brillant way to see the sights and get around cheap.

Lack of polluation. For such a massive city there seems to be little polluation. Although there are some funky smells around (human poo smell mostly, nice)

Letting it all hang out. We were expecting the body beautiful in your face but not so true. Although there are some stunning buff people, the majority are your everyday types, letting it all hang out! A book I am reading at the moment about Brazil says people who have got it flaunt it and people that don´t flaunt it even more!

The views from the Corcovado. Amazing and even a christ that wants to redeem himself thrown in. Bargain!

The Carmen Miranda museum. In a bunker with 4 display cabinets, some pictures and a video. Staffed by ageing gay men. It was a bit of an anti-climax, very strange place.

The White House. Our hostel, run by lovely people. We were supposed to go out on Friday, instead we chatted all night with the owner.

Hustle and bussle: Lots of sitting and whatching a hectic world go by.

Sunshine. Its winter here and its still 26c. Although the locals are saying its a hot one!

Beaches Quiet and busy ones, making us lazy and sleepy.

Blagging that we are staying at The Shearton across the road to use their pool and sunbeds.

Amercains with classic quotes like ¨Is there a taxi to the Jesus¨

Sugar Loaf Mountain. STUNNING views of the city. Watching the sun go down and the lights go up.

Tomorrow (23rd July) we are off to Paraty. about 150 miles south of Rio. Its got beaches and a small pretty town! Rio had very sedutive beaches but theres so much more to see it will be lush to chill out for a few days!

Tonight we are off to a club called Le Boy. Rio´s infamous gay club, so hopefully lots of joy and cocktails!

Take care lovely people. All our love, Paul and Andy xx

Thank you to Ben and Daisy for your wonderfull stickers. It got us entry into loads of stuff in Rio. We will put pictures up in the next few days!
