Well to start the day we got picked up at a sickening hour by an very overly entusiatic guide named 'Bill', n yes he had that lovely American accent that doesn't grate on us at all :/ we know it's his job to tell us about the sights but 2 hours of Bill's californian style commentry was slowly killing us!! advice for a future trip?
hey just read your post... interesting! i'm planning on going up there in early jan for a couple of weeks - cairns - and a whole heap of other areas. are you advising that we should probably do our own trip thing - i'm probly gna hire a car :)
