Here we are: back in Sydney: Now would be a good time to reflect on life as a Nomad. I understand there is this group of elderlies that travel around Australia in much the same fashion. They call themselves the grey nomads. I have not had a chance to google them. At the start of compiling this list, we were en route to Yulara Kata-Tjuta National Park (Uluru) – humming along facing backwards, dodging paper planes, flying currants, catching baby bottles and dummies, reading upside down, making up stories, clapping your hands in different ways, pulling funny faces, catching the odd view of the Aussie outback which is surprisingly green and far more dense in vegetation than I ever imagined. Becoming a Sydneysider has been fun... So, as a lot of you know, I am enjoying the life of luxury in Sydney, with my own room, DOUBLE bed, access to fridge, tv, a personal tour guide with a car and places/ reasons to wear my nice clothes (and heels once or twice!) I have also had a lot of acces too the internet, so have been Skyping and talking to people and have thus neglected my BLOGGING entries. I have just finished watching Airforce 1. Stephen has a new huge TV, blu-ray DVDs and High Definition player. I have watched so far: Catch me if you can, The Prestigue, Aviator and many others, laying on a super comphy sofa drinking green tea. Christmas day in the heat was amazing. Surf Camp We left Bens house at an ungodly 5am to catch our first Oz Experience bus! This is where we start to realize just how big Australia is as our first leg is nine hours and we dont reach anywhere in particular! Surf camp is on the coast, obviously, far from any real civilisation which is nice. We arrived late afternoon and after getting ourselves squared away in very very basic accomodation we were treated to a BBQ dinner followed by a party down on the beach where many beers were had and i spent most of my time chatting to a bloke from Guildford, small world! (also stars were amazing! southern cross orion belt and all that) Next day up at 6am with rather sore heads we were given massive beginer sized surf boards ... read more
