OK. First, a confession: When I posted the first entry here and called it “56 days to go…” I was wrong. Apparently, in my excitement, I jumped the gun a little and miscounted. But this time, I’m sure of my dates, and now it is 7 days to go. Really. Preparations have continued! More reservations have been made, more email confirmations have been received, more credit card transactions have been processed, and a pile of items has begun to collect in my open suitcase. I had the great pleasure of giving my mom a tetanus/diphtheria booster, a polio vaccine, and a dose of Hepatitis A vaccine. (She also got her typhoid vaccine, but that’s an oral med.)
