We slept late. The change to daylight savings time and Eastern time on the same day has our internal clocks confused. We ate breakfast at the Dinner Bell - buffet-style. Went to Madisonville Library. Found a record of a pauper burial for Elizabeth Raper in 1871. Record was at the courthouse (more on that later!). Kay found a deed by John Breeden in 1857 and the deed of the heirs of Abraham S. Duff that mentioned Malinda and George Moore. Back to the courthouse for Elizabeth's record but no one was able to get into Lynn McConkey's office. She's the county genealogist and is out sick. We went across the street to re-group and had coffee and blackberry cobbler at Donna's Cafe. Betty declined the ice cream. Kay called Sarah Crowder and got directions to John
