Raining in the Forest

We woke up to heavy rain and thought the day would be washed out. After a few hours the rain went away and the sun came out so we went to a farmers market and then went for a drive on the lookout for Amish. Paul had seen some on his drive the night before so we went down the same streets and saw signs that showed horse and buggy on then but did not see any. We found a shop that sold Amish candies and we got some as they had an address on then but we could not find there address on our sat nav we found places close to it but so tried around there. We went in to Clarion and went to McDonalds for an internet connection and caught up on all our mail and jobs then had a look around town. We also had a look Leeper. After dinner I went for a drive by the river it was very nice at night. ... read more

Drive from NYC to Cook forest

As it was out last day in the hotel we had bfast in the hotel then checked out and got a taxi back to JFK airport to pick up our hire car. When we got there we decided to upgrade it to a convertible and then we drove to cook forest PA. There was lots of rain as we did not get much time with the top down and lots of road works so it took us about 3h longer to get there then the sat nav said.... read more

We left the Bavarian Lodge this morning and traveled down the road to Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. This would be a must see for a Christmas Fanatic. Imagine a WalMart Super Store or a Meiers or a Canadian tire for that fact and fill it with every Christmas geehaw imaginable and you have Bronner's.. Temps were increasing and it soon became rather warm. Road construction in rain and cool temps is not really pleasant but road construction in heat we have decided is worse. We miss the 52 F (or 11 C) and sunny. Stopped at Clarion, PA (they don't have a Clarion Hotel btw) at the Super 8 which I recommend! $55, clean, and walking distance to Applebee's . We are approximately 180 miles from Bloosmburg and have traveled 9515 miles so far. ... read more
