Sunday 15.11.2009 Day 31 More Malian bike show Well we had another fantastic day at the Malian bike show we got the train there and back but got off at the wrong stop so ended up getting a taxi the rest of the way home as it was raining. We spend more time in the MV VIP lounge where we had lunch and were given lots of Margaritas and meet the MV owner mr Castiglioni. Saturday 14.11.2009 Day 30 Malian sightseeing It was over cast and a bit cold today so we decided to take a day off from the show. We had a bit of a look around where we are staying and then looked more into buying a car. It is a lot harder than we thought it would be! We were going to buy a car in Italy on Monday use it the whole time we are in Europe but getting it registered and insurance when you are not a resident is hard and we cannot prove residency or have a fixed address. Friday 13.11.2009 Day 29 Malian Bike show day 1 We had a fantastic time at the Malian Bike show today we got the bus in and women where allowed in free today (there as still not a lot of women compared to men there). There were 24 stands each about the size of the Sydney motto show. The is a live moto cross track and placed to test ride bikes and learn to ride. There was sooo many ppl and so many bikes. Thursday 12.11.2009 Day 28 Madrid to Malian Had a great bfast, checked out of the hotel when to the airport and gave the car back without any problems. Then go on the aircraft to Milan. In Malian we were met by a driver who took us to our hotel. We checked in and then went for a walk and found a great Italian pizza place. We found a gelato place that sold wine on the way back so got some and had a great dinner at out new hotel. Oh I almost forgot It was my first time on a budget [View Full Entry]

Wednesday 11.11.2009 Day 27 Outskirts of Madrid We got up and had the bfast in our hotel that was included in the price. It was a fantastic bfast. We then went to the Almansa castle it cost 3 eu each to get in it was a 12 centaury castle and had fantastic views. We then drive back to Madrid so that we would be close to give the car back and get out flights to Malian tomorrow. We had lunch on the road and dinner in our hotel. [View Full Entry]

We got up had bfast and went to the Castile santa Barbara the oldest parts of it where 11th century and it had been extended and re built on a few times after that. There was a lift added in the 60tys so we did not have to walk up the stairs. It had a fantastic view of the city and was free to get into. They were doing work on it while we were there. Monday 9.11.2009 Day 25 We drive from Valencia to Alicante by the express way. It was a great road and we saw lots of orange trees and farm house on the way and a few castles. Alicante is on the Mediterranean Sea lots of people head here in summer. The sea looks fantastic but the beaches are not that good. We shopped at our favorite European supermarket Carrefour for dinner. As the sangria (69 eu) is cheaper then orange juice (1.20 eu) so we now drink it instead! We were in the Ducati stand at the moto Gp and Casey had pole so we though we where in for a good day. The stand next to us was the Bautastia stand and he won the 250 race so we hoped we would as well. They put up a big banner with #19 on for their rider and as we where close we helped them hold it us. When he won he stopped in front of the stand and through his gloves into the crowd. Saturday 7.11.2009 Day 23 We got up and had bfast then decided to have a bit more of a sleep in before heading off to the track for Qualifying at Valencia. It was very exciting with Casey getting pole. James Tosland did a concert where he song and played piano as a fare well to moto gp, he was very good I do not know how he gets the time to play he even wrote one of the songs he song. Friday 6.11.2009 Day 22 Practice day at Valencia. We had lots of fun watching Casey get the fastest time in practice today. Then back to the hotel for some rest before going to the Ducati party at the Cathedral that started at midnight and we did not get home till about 4. There was also a absolute promotion on so lots of vodka was consumed and we won lots of absolute prizes. Alcohol is very cheap in Spain. [View Full Entry]
