On search for our next camping spot, we made it down to California, to scope out Goose Lake, right on the State Line... turns out the Lake was dried up. So we decided to hit the road again and head north.

This site took a while for us to find, and we had already been on the road for a bit after going to Hart Mtn/ Antelope Refuge. No other soul around except for the wildlife. The mosquito's wouldn't leave us alone at night. They were bad here. Fee for camping here, $0! There are lots of free camping spots in Oregon, but they are very off the beaten path.

We stayed at Mud Creek Camp Ground. It was just us, noone else around. Well, except the wildlife. Lots of cattle, some coyotes, lots of birds. In the morning we saw a deer. The wind during our sleep was insane, you could hear it coming in, and it was loud and strong. The Native's used to say the winds were the ancestors whispering their messages. At time, it truly did sound like the wind was whispers in some ancient language. The winds continued for hours, with some small pauses, allowing you to hear the direction & power of the next gusts to follow.

Our campfire spot. We didn't make much of a fire the night before. We weren't very hungry , and we were eager to get inside the tent because the mosquito's were horrific at this spot. In the morning we each woke up with at least 30 new bites. Did someone say west nile? I even used my net over my entire head, and had like 10 bites on my forehead, it looked great! But felt even better. Itchy itchy.

Maco had an outdoor shower system going. I got to pour the water to rinse him off. It was super cold water, & funny to hear him squeel.

Awesome water fill up pump. We refilled out colapsable jug, and our platypus's water bags and were on to the next.
