Vive le roadtrip! We set off to explore South East Oregon, a geology nerds dream. Absolutely amazing history of the lands out there. We decided to start a travel blog, so we can share our photos and adventures with our family and friends, & whom ever else stumbles on by. We both live far from our homes, one traveller gone cross country, while the other crosses the atlantic to be with the girl who moved cross country. These are our journeys. Places we've been & explored, things we've done & accomplished off our list. But like any list, you check off one and add many others. Paulina Lake

Got the tent and the campfire set up. The sun is setting, we're at Paulina Lake in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument area. Loved it here. The mosquito's weren't much of a bother compared to the other spots we were. We had better protection from the nights east winds here too. Though being up in elevation 6350 feet/1940 meters above sea level. So it gets cold at night, like see your breath cold.
