The Land of Falling Water
Published: February 16th 2012North America » United States » North Carolina » HighlandsWestern North Carolina has some of the steepest mountain valleys in the eastern US. The central part is a high mountain covered plateau. This area also gets quite a bit of rain. These factors combine to give this part of the state the highest density of waterfalls over a large area in the US. There are areas with a high number in a small region (such as Rickets Glen State Park in Pennsylvania) but none has as many over a wide area. Today, I explore many of them. Wonderful journey in North Carolina
Published: October 11th 2010North America » United States » North Carolina » HighlandsCan you imagine forests with infinite view at the horizon, hills, mountains and water falls one after the other ??? Then go to North Carolina ! This is probably one of my favorite places in the US with Oregon coast ! It was so nice to be connected to the earth, almost no one ! Treking in the woods was lovely, and the best was my siesta on a flat rock in the middle of a water fall! That give the impression to seem so small... and you capture all the senses of nature, little animal flying, leaves moving on the water, no noise or in fact nature noise ! Just perfect! A brrrr of a getaway!

I then tried my best not to dwell on that incredibly trying, painful, near-hopeless process, but alas, I have moved into the PT working world. I am still on the job search bandwagon and (slowly, slowly) striving to become a bona fide travel writer whose work can be seen in the newsstand section of the store in which I work. That is the big picture and main details that I’ll share right now, but 2010 is one of those “this is the year(s).” A networking group with which I enjoyed some writing/journalistic events has 2010 in its name; it has about died now that so many professionals and companies in our field are no more.
