The light broke through the shades early this morning. Not sunny but a gloomy overcast sky lit up the bedroom waking me up. I made the mad dash to the shower and scrubbed up quick and was dressed and out the door with in twenty minutes of waking up. Once in the car I realized I had no gas and made a quick pit stop. Then driving in the pouring rain, I made my way along the Garden State Parkway. Weaving in and out of the crazed New Jersey drivers. Some thinking the weather didn't affect them and driving like madmen. And others so afraid of the rain they were barewly crawling. Had a big bash today. The dad in law retired and it was the Monkey's birthday this past week. So we combined the two into a nice little bash. The day started off with working on the MASSIVE swing set the in-laws bought for the monkey. The damn directions were 40 pages and the thing had more parts then I have bones. I swear without power tools we would never have finished the thing. Me and the big guy got most of it together and when some of the cousins showed up they helped finish it off. So the last three days were spent traveling back and forth to Metro park for Microsoft training. WOOHOO! The class itself was pretty cool. Got to learn the ins and outs of the some software that I need to use on a daily basis. And it is always nice to beef up the resume. Sleeping arrangements could have been better as myself, the wife, and the monkey were all in the same room. And it was not a pleasant experience. There is such a thing as being to close. On Tuesday I was able to get together with Dad. Talked mostly about the Yankee's. Which is what we always talk about. You just have to love the the complex American father/son relationship.
