Hello There! Just want to say a quick goodbye to Massachusetts. It's a little strange not to be flying west. I had a wonderful time in Essex at the Aunt and Uncle's where my parents saw me off. Got to go clamming, do some cooking, and plenty of Red Sox baseball. I'm flying out and will no doubt have plenty of forthcoming adventures. Check in here for a regular entry and to follow my travel! Yep. I'm a blogger! Fabulous. This way, when I'm traveling around Europe and South America this year, my Nana can borrow someone's computer to find out that I did indeed attend Oktoberfest and climb the steps of Machu Piccu. My sister won't be able to complain that I include her in mass emails and my mom will see that I am still alive as of such-and-such a time. August 21 - September 12, 2006 St. Peter’s, Nova Scotia - Chebacco Lake, Essex, Mass. 18,351 miles to date 1,942 miles this leg Ah, September, this rarest and most treasured of months. When we were planning for this trip, friends and relatives across the country urged us to visit them in September. “It won’t be too hot or too cold, and the leaves will be starting to turn,” was the gist of their suggestions. But since we can only spend September in one spot, we chose New England. We crossed from New Brunswick into Maine on Aug. 24 and have meandered from that state’s coastal band through New Hampshire to Vermont and on to Massachusetts.
