Again this summer my friend Sandy opened her Cape house in Harwichport to Karen and I for a week. It’s in a great location near the center of town and a few steps from the beach. Being July on Cape Cod everywhere you look blue hydrangeas are lush and in bloom. We might not like the rain much but plants are loving all the rain. As with most of the lost summer of 2009 we had one good day out of five. Wednesday was a beautiful beach day, we walked the few hundred feet from the house to the beach and got some rare sun and into our summer reads. My brother John stopped by and the two of us drove over to the A&W on route 28 in his MGB for the weekly Cruise Night.
