No time to waste. We have many places to go and things to do. Jump aboard, we’re ready for memory making. Let me see....head count - yep, everyone is here. Good! Time to go. We’re off! Yesterday the sky was overcast and there was a chill in the air. Our spur of the moment agenda plan was to go to the Auburndale Flea Market. You can guess who was the main one to mention that place. Sam loves flea markets! We still do, too, even though we don’t look for old treasures to buy anymore. Maybe a new trinket here or there and of course, fruits and vegetables are always a safe purchase. Too much chatter and confusion and we missed the exit. Sunday, our destination was Plant City for the enormous, delicious, scrumptious strawberry shortcake. ?? You can only get this magnificent delicacy at the Parksdale Farm Market. Juices flowing just thinking about those mountainous creations.? However, our travels side-tracked and took us first to the Auburndale Flea Market. We have been here before. Not one of the best....kind of junky....but that's the kind you can sometimes find a real treasure. Sam was lucky today with that. We just bought a couple "new" items. There was a big fight going on with some of the shoppers...lots of yelling and screaming. It ended before I could get a good look (and photo) of the excitement. Today we were breaking biscuits at breakfast with Sam & Sandy. The Cracker Barrel had the dining room of choice. Always excellent both in atmosphere and food. We had Sam's favorite table: the window seat. He can spread out and line his various entrees along the sill. Just like his own personal smorgasbord. An hour later, the question was "what shall we do now"? A series of serendipities developed quickly. With the two diehard pickers at the helm, we headed off to the Auburndale Flea Market. Along the way, we came across the old Gator Motel. Cory had thought this was the original Gatorland because of the massive display out front but it wasn't.
