We stopped at Morro Bay for one night. We thought it would be a good way to break up the drive from Big Sur to Ojai. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. It was a busy, but small town with a great waterfront area and Farmer's Market. The first thing we noticed about the town were all the antique stores. We spent about an hour in one and I only saw a drop of what was there. Waaaay too much stuff and a bit pricey as well. We found a room at the local Best Western and went down town for lunch. THE BASICS We spent a couple of very hot days (90+ is hot to us) just lazing near a pool, and then headed to Yosemite. Several nights in a campground there, and then through Fresno to the foggy coast around San Luis Obispo. Our "endgame" has taken a bit of shape: we will arrive in Phoenix around October 21, spend a few days with Linda's brother and store the car and RV nearby, and then fly home to rake leaves before the snow falls (we hope). THE FLUFF Driving south from Sacramento area toward Yosemite, we stopped at a farm stand and loaded up.
