Morro Bay
Seals in Morro Bay We stopped at Morro Bay for one night. We thought it would be a good way to break up the drive from Big Sur to Ojai. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. It was a busy, but small town with a great waterfront area and Farmer's Market.
The first thing we noticed about the town were all the antique stores. We spent about an hour in one and I only saw a drop of what was there. Waaaay too much stuff and a bit pricey as well.
We found a room at the local Best Western and went down town for lunch. We found great seafood and a beautiful bay with so much activity. After our lunch we rent a kayak and spent the afternoon exploring the bay.
There were numerous seals swimming in the waters with us. A bit too close for me at first, but then I realized they were not going to bother us. As we went further down the bay and out to the opening of the ocean we saw Sea Otters. They were especially cute floating on their backs. They turn in a spiral as they swim which was very different from the movement

Kayaking Morro Bay of the seals.
It was about 90 degrees and being out on the water was a great way to pass the afternoon.
