We finally got out and took some pictures of the wobbly roads. They built ON the BOG and disrupted the permafrost. It’s a really weird experience driving on these roads, the pictures really don't do it justice. It feels a lot like you are driving on a roller coaster. Like that kids elephant ride at the PNE. We can’t believe that the road has sunk so much in places and the concrete doesn’t crack, it just bends down and sinks into the ground.
Oh and I got some pictures of a couple of guys working on building a house too. It's incredible how they build around here. Have a look at the picture. Its great. There’s a picture of Dakotah in front of one of the $700,000 houses in this subdivision. There is some really great, original, kind of weird architecture here. Dakotah really likes the round house.
Talitha and I went to a Retro Dance Party at one of the local clubs here on Friday night. It was a fundraiser for one of the ecological non-profit organizations here in Yellowknife. We had a blast dancing the night away. The greatest moment was when they played Cindy Lopper (I
