Two more days of packing and cleaning and we are starting our drive North. My trip to Calgary yesterday went off without a hitch. Fly in Fly out.. and a day is gone. Today we pack the truck (which is hopefully all of the fixed now) I had a few surprises this last week with the truck that I was soooo glad for, since it happened BEFORE we were on the road. Our newest adventure is coming up soon. Dakotah and I are heading up to Yellowknife. We'll be there for the school year as I take on a job assignment. We're taking an extra person with us too. Talitha, a wonderful young girl is going to come stay with us. If you followed our last adventure then you know Talitha's family, the Knightlys who we visited in Namibia. Talitha is thier oldest daughter. We'll be staying in govenment housing, an un furnished townhouse. Hi there, Dakotah and I are doing just fine here in Kamloops this spring. The weather is just starting to warm up. The snow finally all melted away from my yard last week. May 11, Friday More Dunes, Some Atlantic Ocean and Back to Okahandja OK I lost a day somewhere. It was hot outside at 8:30 am this morning. I woke up feeling refreshed, had a cup of Ricoffee and some breakfast that was provided with the room. Then we packed up to head off to the dunes. When we lined up to pay for our rooms we were told that the owner wanted us to pay only half of the already low rate that we were quoted. What a blessing. May 14 Leaving Namibia and the Knightly’s Dakotah and I both woke up before 8am then we got carried away in conversations. Trevor and Dakotah exchanged e-mail addresses and Charlene and I talked about how difficult it will be to present the things we learned and have it sink in with people who are not mission minded. Or to those who have certain views of missions work. May 22 We were home for a complete day and I went to work the next. There are so many things to be done here I cant catch up. And my neighbours think I am crasy because we were home for two nights then went away to Williams lake for work. Shelly and Bianca came down for a visit. It was so awsome to see them againa nd to see Shelley healthy again. It was a good time. And now I'm back in the full swing of work. It'll take a bit to get motivated but I am doing my best. May 9, Thursday Swakopmund - Walvis Bay We all got up early today. Charlene, Trevor, Tavis, Megan, Dakotah and I got away from the house before 9am. We stopped for one pee break on the way. Just before getting into Swakopmund Charlene got two big chips in the windshield from a sand truck throwing out rocks. First thing when we pulled into Swakopmund we went to a Pick and Pay Grocery store to get some tape for the windshield and we picked some lunch food too. We visited the snake farm too. May 8 Cheetah Farm We had a great sleep and slept in a little bit late to make up for the sleepless bus ride the night before. Charlene and Pete are great hosts. They make us feel at home. Dakotah especially felt at home because there was a bird there. Unfortunately the little guy died that night. Pete, Charlene’s husband, had to go North today to help with tiling the new Orphanage so he didn’t get to come on our adventures these next few days.
