We awoke to a cloudy sky but feeling most refreshed, we followed our small companion up to the terrace for breakfast. Woolly says – day two of amazing breakfasts and having feasted to my hearts content I could truly say that I couldn’t manage another mouthful...... Miracles do happen and as I wiped the three types of jam of the furry fiend we were all looking forward to the next part of our journey. Woolly says - ....... the jam was delicious but I was glad of the wipe down as I appeared to be sticking to the floor! Next came the entertainment of Jo trying to get her backpack into position and then pointing her in the right direction before she fell over backwards hehehehehe. I am currently sitting under an olive tree, after I got stung by a bee (if you are reading this, it means I am not allergic...), with an amazing view over Butterfly Valley on the Lycian Way in Turkey. We arrived here after a nice hike in the mountains... Ah, Turkey! I had no idea the country had such landscape and hiking trails. Our arrival in Turkey was so easy. The owner of the guest house where we stayed in Fethiye was waiting for us at the ferry terminal. With his few words of English, he explained to us how to get to his lovely pension, and he met us there a little later. HE SAID... After breakfast we grabbed our packs and jumped on a public bus for the six hour trip from Pamukkale to Kayakoy. This was to be a long trip. We had a driver and an attendant (who made sure the passengers were all OK). They struggled with the air-conditioning for most of the trip. When we went uphill, they opened the front door of the bus to let fresh air in (but closed it again as soon as we levelled out or started going downhill). They opened the skylight every now and again, and they also tried to get the air-conditioner working, but it was just too hot outside for anything to be effective.
