1: Petra 51 secs
One of the Seven Wonders of the World for a reason! Wow!! Took 2 days here to see it all and I'd recommend a third actually! Site is huge.
Ok so we got an early start and did the walk in through the 1.2 km Siq (a huge canyon formed by the Earth) that ends at The Treasury or Al-Khazneh. If you have ever seen pictures of Petra, you have seen The Treasury! What a beautiful sight!
Did hike up to the High Places of Sacrifice with views of valley. Came down the other side into another valley, passing carvings, tombs and more. Found this random staircase that is more just small ledges in the rock climbing straight up. Decided to follow it and found another reservoir. The Nabateans were absolute masters of water as this is a desert. They had reservoirs and channels, even terracotta pipes to move water. Found one reservoir they built which held 86,000 gallons of water! Not bad!
