So I have been here for exactly a week now, and what a fun week it has been!!! London was awesome, Clariss and Ben organised a surprise of all my old work mates from my time in Ilford to meet us for drinks, had a great night! We had a delicious spanish tapas feed in Covent Garden, then went to a bar where we drank beers and danced, was heaps of fun! On Saturday Tiss and I completely smashed Oxford St, in particular Primark - oh my it is the hugest most amazingly cheap and awesome shop!!! It was huge and bustling and the queues to try things on are so long you either do it in the middle of the shop, or cross your fingers and try it on when you get home.. hehe bought ... read more

I finally went to watch an English Premier league soccer game: Everton vs Coventry City. It was a preseason game and what was called a friendly game (basically what that means is that after a player has played so many games with a team, they have a friendly game where part or all of the procedes from the game are given to the player!!!! as if they need it with their multimillion dollar contracts!!) it was fun, not many people at the game, there were more Everton fans that drove an hour and a half to support their team (including us!)!! It was looking good until the end........ read more

One day about two years ago we were discussing a holiday, as one does when one is getting fed up with the day to day cycle of work and no play. A few things were thrown into the pot: The south of France (our usual holiday). Perhaps a package holiday to somewhere further flung like the Caribbean. Or maybe we could visit Amy's uncle in Thailand. Now, yes, that's a good idea! Seeming as we would be in Thailand, why don't we go and visit Dan's dad and step mom in Bali. Why, of course!! So, set on this idea, the planning begun... ...and the planning expanded. Two weeks in Thailand and two weeks in Bali. As we looked into these two trips we discovered some more places to visit. So, we might as well see ... read more

Well, at last it is nearly time to go! We fly from Gatwick early Saturday morning and will be starting stuff on Monday,I think! We have been in Sussex staying with some friends and enjoying the lovely autumn weather by going for long walks in the beautiful Engish counrtyside. I keep putting things in piles ,then taking them out and putting other things in ,then putting the original things back and .I'm not packed yet! Geoff has his guitar ,computer and a spare pair of socks and seems quite calm!! I keep thinking 'I wonder what I will be doing this time next week?' and 'Oh, this is the last for ... read more

Not much longer to go now, just need to sort out an extended Thai Visa, drop my car off up North and get some US Dollars. Planning for the USA and Japan is going smoothly, I just bought my Japan Rail pass today and booked another hostel. I'm slightly worried about the tensions in Bangkok. Hopefully it will be sorted before I arrive in Thailand in mid December.... read more

So Ill be recapping the last few days in the UK...though it is a little late... Thursdays LOW: Losing to Chris on tennis. Thursdays HIGH: Drinkin some pints at Wetherspoons. Thursday I woke up and decided to take a while to get ready for the day. I thought I heard everyone leave the house, so I thought it was safe to take a bath, since I dont have a bathtub in America that I can use so easily. So I put on some music and relaxed for a while. While I started to drift off, Daniel knocked on the door and I realized he still had to go to class. So I quickly showered off and went to get dressed in Melissas room. Just as I was almost ready, I heard a knock on the door, ... read more
