After a flight that felt like forever (23 hours to be exact!), I arrive in Melbourne. I meet up with Greg in Abu Dhabi and we were on the same flight to Australia for a week of tranquility and relaxation before Greg's hectic week. We arrived Tuesday evening. It was a beautiful evening so we decided to go for a bite on the beach. We were lucky to have nice weather for the 2 weeks. It only rained on qualifying day for a little bit and now and again on race day. The first week was very nice, we didn't do much other than some site seeing near by - more like visiting shopping precincts. Although we didn't do much buying because everything was just too expensive. To put it in perspective, I bought a sicilian ... read more

Who would have thought that I would one day travel to Singapore on my own?!?! Last year if someone would have said I would get on a plan for 16 hours and then get in a cab by myself in a foreign country, I would have thought they were crazy, but I did it!!! and, I could get used to it too!!!! I got to Singapore around 9 pm monday and unfortunately Greg couldn't come to pick me up, he had a meeting to go to at the hotel so I had to grab a cab and make my way to the hotel. It wasn't a long ride but after spend 16 hours flying, it felt like forever! The weather was great - hot and humid, just how I like it!!! not necesarily great for the ... read more
Today we were supposed to go into London but we kind of woke up late and the weather was if so we decided to go visiting places closer to home. First we set of to a little village called Castle Combe - although its called Castle Combe, there's no castle, but it is considered England's most picturesque villages in England. It really was a beautiful village & guess what, the sun came out as soon as we got there! After having a walking around and having a pint in one of the pubs, we head off to Bath. Its a nice city with many shops and a few street performers playing music. I would have loved to go and see the Roman Baths but there was too many people by the entrance trying to go in... ... read more
Another lovely day so we decide to go for a little drive to a little village called Burton-on-the-Water. not much to do there except to sit by the water and watch the world go by... It's a nice place to bring the kids and pets: both were playing in the water....... read more
Before making our way back home, Greg and I decided to go into Chester: a lovely town that unfortunately has not be looked after. many old buildings and there is a wall that surrounds the city. We were going to go and look at the walls but it started to rain so we will be going another time.... read more
Another beautiful day so we took the opportunity to go to Cholmondeley Castle in Malpas - about 20 minutes from Greg's parent's place. The castle is still lived in by Lord and Lady something but the gardens are open to the public. It really is a beautiful place and the gardens are to die for. Had we known how beautiful it was, we would have take a pinic there... I'll let the pictures do the talking....... read more
Since Greg is on vacation for a few weeks we decide to go up north to visit his parents and visit the near by cities. Our first stop in Manchester. Nothing spectacular, it's a regular cosmopolitan city, much to my disappointment. Mind you we didn't visit the whole city.... We basically went to the shopping area of Manchester. The weather was so nice so instead of walking in the Biggest mall in England we decided to walk along the streets. Not too many pictures because of all the construction/renovations.... read more
I finally went to watch an English Premier league soccer game: Everton vs Coventry City. It was a preseason game and what was called a friendly game (basically what that means is that after a player has played so many games with a team, they have a friendly game where part or all of the procedes from the game are given to the player!!!! as if they need it with their multimillion dollar contracts!!) it was fun, not many people at the game, there were more Everton fans that drove an hour and a half to support their team (including us!)!! It was looking good until the end........ read more
